Patricia Chatman

Mrs. Patricia Ann Henderson Chatman was born January 10, 1953, in Nashville, Tennessee to the union of William Henderson and Billie Jean Henderson. This sweet and productive life came to an end on Friday, October 24, 2025, at Trevecca Center for Rehabilitation and Healing in Nashville, Tennessee.

Patricia was educated in the Nashville Davidson County Public Schools. She was a graduate of Pearl High School Class of 1971. She continued her education by attending Fisk University and graduated with her degree in 1975.

Patricia accepted Christ in her life at an early age and was united with the Fairfield Baptist Church. She married the love of her life Charles Chatman, III and this love grew stronger as their lives grew together.

Patricia was employed as Chief Leadership Officer for Tn. Housing Development Agency for years until her health began to fail. Her employment spanned from 1992 – 2005 with Metro and 2005 -2012 with the State of Tennessee.

Patricia enjoyed cooking, reading home improvement projects and spending time with her family. Her love and devotion to her Lord and Savior was premium in her life.

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Chatman, III., father, William Henderson, mother, Billie Jean Henderson, brother, William R. Henderson, niece, Stephanie Farmer and Adrian Hooper, and grandson, JerQune Bassham.

Those left to cherish her sweet life are her loving children, Gregory Henderson (LaTonya), Jared Chatman, and Danielle Cathey (Romario), grandchildren, Toney Appleton, Quari Bassham, Romario Cathy, Amari Cathy, Caleb Chatman and Demario Cathy, siblings, Charles Henderson, Sr., (Eva), Pamela Henderson, and Denise Farmer (John), devoted friend, Zelma Stallworth, a host of other relatives and friends.
