Phyllis Michelle Ward

Ms. Phyllis Michelle Lowe Ward was born August 14, 1958, in Nashville, Tennessee to Howard and Sophfronia Mai Crutcher Lowe. She transitioned from this earthly world to eternal life on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.

Phyllis confessed a hope in Christ at an early age. She received her education in the Metro School System. She continued her education and graduated from National College in Nashville, Tennessee with an Associate degree in Business Administration. She was previously enrolled at Tennessee State University completing her junior year and continued to pursue her degree while her health declined.

Phyllis was loving and kindhearted; she had a sweet spirit, never meeting a stranger. She enjoyed watching movies, playing card games, family gatherings, spending time with her great-grandson Kylan whom she adored and SHOPPING!!!!

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Sophfronia Lowe, sisters, Janice Banks and Sharetta Lowe, brother, Steven Lowe, nephew, Roderick “Rod” Lowe and her beloved dog, Cowboy.

She leaves to cherish her memories her son, Charles Ward, daughter, Sharika Lowe, sister, Evelyn Rivers, brother, Howard “Champ” Lowe, granddaughter, LaCharsha Ward, great-grandson, Kylan Lauderdale, nieces, Cherly Coplen, Waymond Coplen, Maria Rivers, Kenesha Lowe, Shockeytha, Nockeytha Frierson Brown and nephews, Ricco Rivers and Ronald Lowe, Michael Hollingsworth, great nieces and nephews, a host of cousins, family and friends as well her Greater St. John Church family, dear friends, Latoya Rucker and Cynthia Whitehead, Kejuan and Keshawn Johnson.
