Raleigh Gore

Mr. Raleigh Gore, Jr., was born October 12, 1945, in Nashville, Tennessee to the union of Raleigh Gore, Sr. and Margaret Willis Gore. This fruitful life came to an end on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at Tristar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Raleigh was educated in the Nashville Davidson County Public Schools. He accepted Christ in his life at an early age.

Raleigh married the love of his life Sheron Shannon on November 21, 1968. They raised 2 beautiful children and enjoyed a lifetime of love.

Raleigh enlisted in the United States Armed Forces on October 21, 1963, and received an honorable discharge after completing his service on October 21, 1971.

After his military duties, Raleigh gained employment with News Channel 5 as an Operations Engineer. He enjoyed this position and was blessed to retire.

When Raleigh wasn’t working, he enjoyed Ham Radio and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raleigh and Margaret Gore, Sr., and his loving wife, Sheron Gore.

He leaves to celebrate his life and cherish his sweet memories, daughter, Jessica Bynum, son, Patrick Gore, grandchildren, Mekiyan Bynum and Amber Bynum, brothers, Kenneth (Nancy) Gore and Gary (Frances) Gore, sisters, Donzaleigh (William) Petway as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
