Robert Earl Williams

October 26, 1942 — April 13, 2024

Robert Earl Williams was born October 26, 1942 to the late Willie G. Williams and Charlie Fields in Stanton, Tennessee.   He entered peacefully into eternal life at his home on Saturday, April 13, 2024. He accepted Christ at an early age and was a spiritual person.  He began his spiritual journey at

Fredonia Baptist Church in Stanton, Tennessee. He later committed his services to Cleveland Street  Missionary Baptist Church where he served in many capacities and on many auxiliaries. He was very passionate and a well-dressed greeter and when you walked in through the church door you were received with a warm smile and a heartfelt welcome until his health started to decline. Robert was educated in the Haywood County public school system. He was employed many years with Container Corporations of America until retirement.

He was united in holy matrimony to Estelle Maclin Williams who preceded him in death. Robert was an avid gardener. He had a green thumb. His home was beautifully adorned with beautiful plants. He also had a knack for decor. His home was full of decorative items which he recieved many compliments on. In his spare time he loved fishing, cooking, DIY projects all around his home.  He was a self-made handy man and would rather make repairs in his home instead of hiring a professional.

In addition to his wife he was also preceded in death by his parents, Willie G. Williams and Charlie Fields, son Eric Williams, brothers, William, Randall, Ozell, Noble, and Willie L; sister, Lethelma; grandchildren Reginald and DeRicco.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Mona Williams, Ira Dixon, and Juanetta Williams, godson, Harold Sowell, Jr; brothers, Dalphine (Carol) Williams, and Paul (Patricia) Fields; sisters, Darnell Jarrett, Jackie Wheeler, Dorothy Ann (William) Green, and Charlene Appling, sister-in-law, Rosie Adams, 16 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren, best friends Walter Jesse Oldham and Lawrence Whitmore, a host of nieces, nephews, other loving family members and dear friends.
