Robert Lee Horton

Mr. Robert Lee Horton, born June 15, 1953, in Nashville TN to the Union of Jimmy Lee Horton Jr. and Vunny M. Horton. He departed this life on August 22, 2021, in Nashville, TN.

Robert was educated in Nashville Davidson County Public Schools. In 1971 he joined The United States Marines Corps. He was employed at Liebovich Brothers, W. F. John Barnes, both in Rockford, Illinois. He also worked for Metro Housing Authority in Nashville, TN.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jimmie Lee Horton Jr.; Grandparents; Hartle and Lena Belle Cain, Chaity and Jimmie Lee Horton Sr, and brother, John Horton.
Survived by his devoted wife of 38 years, Virginia Elaine Horton, Mother, Vunny M. Horton; Sons; Robert Lee Horton Jr. and Trequan Leemar Horton; Daughters; Demetrius Leeann Hunter and E-Miya Faith Horton; God-daughters; Jalissa and Waukeshia Hall. Brothers; Clyde (Amelda) Cain, William (Karen) Horton, Jimmie Lee(Sandra Gail) Horton, Carlton (Maria) Horton, Emmanuel (Valency) Horton, Bobby (Pat) Horton, Garnell (Gail) Horton, Rodney (Joyce) Horton, Donnie Horton, Lonnie Horton. Sisters; Bernice Horton, Shirley (Troy) Gulley, Janie (Karl) Hall, and Cornelia Horton of Huntsville Alabama. Grandchildren; Robert III, Xenia, Kolibri, Jasmine, Rylan, Dont’a, Sonali, Rylee, Cherrish, Gabrielle, Zayden and Harlem,
Uncle Frank and Aunt Rachel of Huntsville Alabama; numerous nieces and nephews other relatives and friends. Devoted cousin; Beverly Williams-Edwards, Special friends; Herbert and Micky Parker, Michael Jones, Shane and Charlene Lee. Visitation Wednesday, September 1, 2021, 10-11 with funeral to follow at funeral home. Burial in Middle Tn State Veterans Cemetery.
