Robert Frederick Mitchell, Jr.

Robert Frederick Mitchell Jr. passed away on Monday, September 25, 2023, at Skyline Medical Center with his loving family by his side. He was born on August 8^th, 1951, to the union of Robert F.  Mitchell Sr. and Dorothy Brooks Mitchell.

A lifelong resident of Nashville, Tennessee, Robert attended Davidson County Schools and Meigs Magnet School. He was united in Holy Matrimony to the love of his life Betty Christian, on April 7^th, 1990, they have enjoyed 33 years of marriage, and together they built a warm and welcoming household for their children and family.

Robert was employed with Consolidated Freight and Central Transport as a Trucker Driver for many years until his retirement.

He will be remembered by his family and friends for being strong, humble, hardworking, and always lending a helping hand. Robert was noted for his great bowling and skating skills. He enjoyed listening to old school music and also sitting outside on his front porch.

In addition to his father, Robert Mitchell Sr., he was predeceased by his daughter, Wanda Mitchell, and great grandchild, De’Mari Beasley.

He leaves to cherish his memories loving wife, Betty Mitchell, mother, Dorothy Mitchell, children, Angela, Tangie, Valencia (Michael), Jamie (Tasha), Tony (Jenecia), siblings, Darlene, Terry, Belinda (James), grandchildren, Quanesha, Calvin, La-Tesha, Jermaine, Daryl, Deandre, Trevontay, Arieanna, Jaylen, Michael Jr., Mario Jr., Marielle, Dionne, Lamaria, Jamia, Mari`a, Jazelle, Davionna, Ryan, 8 great grandchildren, a host of aunts and uncles, mother-in-law, Yvonne Christian, sisters-in-law, Anita, Karen (Lewis), Linda (Jerry), Brenda, LeeGloria, brother-in-law, Herman III, host of nieces and nephews, and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
