Robert Tyus, Jr.

Mr. Robert Tyus Jr. was born July 5, 1957, in Detroit, Michigan to Robert Tyus, Sr. and Emma L. Tyus. He answered the Master’s call on Thursday, September 3, 2026.

He accepted Christ at an early age and joined the Hickory Grove M.B. Church. After graduating High School, he moved to Nashville, Tennessee and united with Cleveland Street Baptist Church. He was a faithful Deacon and Security Guard until his health failed.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Sr., and Emma Tyus and brother, Charles Muex.

Robert attended Haywood County School in Brownsville, Tennessee.

He was a devoted father of two children, Yulanda Tyus and Robert Tyus.

He leaves to cherish his memories his two loving children, Yulanda Tyus, and Robert Tyus, five brothers, Lawrence Tyus (Quanda) of Brownsville, Tn., Calvin Tyus (Brenda) Leon Tyus (Sonya) Laymon Currie, all of Nashville, Tn., Kendall Tyus of Fredrick, Ma., three sisters, Dexie Tyus and Mozella Tyus of Brownsville, Tn. Shageanda Cold, Clarksville, special friend, Angela Dansby, six grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends all of whom he loved dearly.
