Romona Gail Dillard

September 18, 1962 — May 27, 2026

Ms. Romona Gail Dillard was born on September 18, 1962, in Nashville, Tennessee, to the late Joe and Thelma Dillard. On Wednesday, May 27, 2026, she peacefully transitioned into eternal rest at Summit Medical Center in Hermitage, Tennessee.

Romona received her education through the Metro Nashville-Davidson County Public School System. As a young girl, she was energetic, adventurous, and full of life. She enjoyed roller skating, playing basketball, and swimming—activities that reflected the vibrant spirit she carried throughout her life.

For more than twenty years, Romona was self-employed as a carpet flooring installer. She took great pride in her work and earned the respect of many through her determination, independence, and unwavering work ethic. Her commitment to excellence and her ability to provide for herself and her family were qualities she carried with great pride.

Above all else, Romona cherished her family. She was a devoted and loving mother who deeply treasured her children and took immense pride in their accomplishments. As a grandmother, she found immeasurable joy in her grandchildren, whose lives she enriched with her love, wisdom, and presence. Her family was the center of her world, and she made certain that each of them knew how much they were loved.
In addition to her parents, Romona was preceded in death by her brother, Wayne Dillard, and her sisters, Sandra Dillard and Felicia Dillard.

Romona leaves a lasting legacy of love, strength, and cherished memories to her devoted lifetime partner, Rodney Tucker; her beloved children, Zeaporria Dillard and Ze Carlos Dillard; her siblings, Joseph (Janice) Dillard, Cedric (Cindy) Dillard, Marcus Dillard, Antione Dillard, Monica Dillard, and Michelle Pierce; her cherished grandchildren, Jordan Hughes, Ze Montay Hackworth, Shaniya, and Isaiah; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.

Though she has departed from this earthly life, Romona’s love, strength, and beautiful spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Her legacy of resilience, devotion, and unconditional love will continue to live on through the family and friends she leaves behind.
