Roy Lee Brown, Jr.

Roy Lee Brown, Jr. was born on February 14, 1945, to Roy Lee Brown, Sr. and Annie R. Leonard Brown in Nashville, Tennessee. He gained his wings and entered into eternal life on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Roy accepted Christ in his life at an early age and later united with St. Teresa Holiness Church during his adult years.  He was educated in the Nashville Davidson County Public Schools where he graduated from the Historical Pearl High in 1963. He went on to further his quest for knowledge at Tennessee State A & I. He later enlisted in the United States Air Force from 1964- 1968 where he served honorably until his discharge.

Roy was married to Angeline Pitts Brown until her passing in 1992. He was employed by Mason/Dixon, Consolidated Freight, ANR Advance, and Yellow Freight Trucking Companies from 1977- 2009. He loved working on cars, cooking and spending time with his family and friends.

Roy is preceded in death by his parents, sister, LaDresta Watkins, and son, Eric Brown. He leaves to cherish his memories his children, Nakita (Derrick) Thomas, Wanda Underwood, Michael Underwood, Natasha Newman; nine grandchildren, Dyondre Thomas, Dyoni Thomas, Rickale Holman, Kenneth Underwood, Quanesha Underwood, DeMarco Underwood, Brittany Beaudion, Keiona Underwood, Coilson and Michael Coffee; several great-grandchildren; and a host of cousins, other relatives and devoted friends, Edd Washington, Regina Newman and other friends.
