Rubener Teague

Rubener Teague was born December 7, 1947 in Puryear, Tennessee to the union of Dorl and Mary Marie Tharpe. She departed this peaceful life on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at her residence in  Puryear, Tennessee.
 
Rubener was a graduate of Central High School. She was employed for many years with the Paris Shirt Factory and later found her calling as a Foster Parent. She served as a mom and mentor to many young children in need. 
Rubener accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and was a member of Quinn Chapel AME Church.  She was married to Garfield Teague, who preceded her in death in July of 1999. In addition to her husband she was also preceded in death by her parents, Dorl and Mary Marie Tharpe, brother, James Tharpe and son, David Cobb. 
 
Rubener was a kind hearted and nurturing person. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
 
Those left to cherish her memories are her loving three sons, Charles Teague, Josh Teague, and Patrick Teague, all of Puryear. Two brothers, Thomas Tharpe of Parsons and Adrian (Lettie) Tharpe of Tampa, FL. She is also survived by six grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
