Samuel Charles Nixon, Sr. was born August 31, 1952, in Nashville, Tennessee to the union Silas Curtis Nixon and Beatrice Burns. Samuel went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at his residence in Hermitage, Tennessee.
Samuel accepted Christ in his life at an early age and was a Christian by faith. He was educated in the Nashville Davidson County Public Schools. After his schooling Samuel enlisted in the United States Army where his served his country and received an honorable discharge.
After his service he was employed as a mechanic for many years.
Samuel was preceded in death by bother his parents, Silas Nixon and Beatrice Burns, brother, Silas C. Nixon, Jr., and sister, Brenda Nixon.
Samuel leaves to cherish his memories, children, Samuel Charles Nixon, Jr., Lynda Shanette Nixon-Summers, Zatwoine Joyner, grandchildren, Dillian Coakley, Travarius Fuller, Terronce’ Nixon, Destiny Nixon, Luther Summers, Jr., Tiquerian Joyner, Athasia Joyner, brother, Kenneth Nixon, nieces, Kennesha Nixon, Reba Nixon Stewart, Tamela Nixon, Sonja Nixon, loved ones, Paula Dotson (Victor), Greg Henderson (Robbie) and a host of other relatives and friends.
