Born November 30, 1952, Sandra Josephine Dillard was the beloved daughter of the late Thelma and Joe Dillard of Nashville, TN.
Sandra Dillard graduated from Cameron High School, where she continued her education at A & I University (now Tennessee State University), and received an Associate's Degree in Early Child Hood Education. She later pursued a dedicated career at Vanderbilt University Hospital, where she served in the Respiratory Care Department for 50 years. She concluded her career as a medical receptionist at Vanderbilt Psychiatric Hospital.
Sandra dedicated her life to Christ from an early age at Lawrence Avenue Church of Christ. She enjoyed everything from skating, swimming, and tailgating at football games to being the “queen of the kitchen.” She handled her cooking like a "Top Chef,” but most of all, she enjoyed being the “BEST MEMA" to her grandchildren. They were truly the joy of her life and being.
Sandra was preceded in death by her brother, Wayne Dillard, and sister, Felicia Dillard. Her memory and legacy will live on through her devoted daughter, Tiffany Buchanan; grandson, Jakobe Sampson; granddaughter, Lynia Knight; and her siblings: Joseph Dillard (Janice), Monica Dillard, Cedric Dillard (Cindy), Michelle Pierce, Romona Dillard (Rodney), Marcus Dillard (Cheryl), Antione Dillard, along with a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and many devoted friends.
