Sharon "Cookie" Buford Morgan entered into eternal rest June 1, 2026. She was born April 26, 1952, to Eunice and Douglas Dean Buford, Sr. In Nashville, Tennessee.
Sharon accepted Christ at an early age and was a devoted member of Mount Sinai Cumberland Presbyterian Church for many years. 5he later joined First Baptist East of Nashville.
Sharon was educated in the Metro Public School system and was a graduate of North High School.
Sharon was married to former husband, Micheal Morgan, and to this union they welcomed LaShanda Morgan.
Sharon was employed with the State of Tennessee, Department of Revenue, and State of Tennessee, Title and Registration for many years.
She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, drawing, and spending time with her family and friends.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, Eunice and Douglas Dean Buford, Sr.; her sisters Carolyn Buford Baugh and Deborah Buford-Nelson; her brothers Milton and Douglas Dean Buford, Jr.
Sharon leaves to cherish her memories: devoted children, daughters, LaShanda Morgan and Nicole Crowder; son D'Mario (Marquita) Baugh, Sr; bonus son, Minister David Vaughn Sr.; devoted grandchildren, D'Mario Baugh, Jr. and Amirah Crowder; bonus granddaughter, Brianna (Dusty) Taylor; sister, Belinda Franklin; nieces, Evelyn, Donna, Jacquelin, LaQuita and Tameka Buford, Mollie Buford-Malone, Talochia Duncan, Walstechia and Taquella Jenkins, Narquinta Garrett, Angelita (Derrick) Dalton, Raven Blackshear; nephews Milton Moore, Jack Buford, Tracy Morgan; sister-in-law; Mollie Buford, and Rayetta Buford; brother-in-law, Melvin Baugh
Devoted friends, Everett Drake and Pastor Gloria McGowan-Hancock; devoted sister-in- law, Debra Blackshear and a host of other family and friends.
