With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we celebrate the life of Sharonda Denise Parks, who peacefully passed away on April 11, 2026, at Southern Hills Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. She was 47 years old.
Sharonda was born on April 13, 1978, in Brooklyn, New York, to her loving parents, Marsha Allen and Daric Parks. From an early age, she displayed a deep compassion for others and carried that caring spirit throughout her life.
She was a proud graduate of Tennessee State University and dedicated her professional life to serving others as a social worker, providing care and support to children and the elderly. Sharonda’s work reflected her genuine love for people and her desire to make a meaningful difference in their lives.
Sharonda had a joyful heart and a vibrant personality. She loved traveling, watching movies, and capturing moments through photographs—often alongside anyone willing to share a smile. Known for her corny jokes and warm sense of humor, she brought laughter and light into every room she entered.
Above all, Sharonda treasured her family. She delighted in vacations with her very loving husband—her world—and their child, creating memories filled with love, laughter, and togetherness. Her affection for her family and her kindness toward others will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
Sharonda Denise Parks will be remembered for her compassionate spirit, her unwavering love for people, and the joy she freely gave to others. Her legacy of love lives on through the many lives she touched. She is preceded in death by her parents.
She leaves to cherish her memories her dedicated and loving husband, Jesse Gilliam; daughter, Keaira Annalise Hernandez; siblings, Shawn, Tisha, Kenya, Travis, Toya and Raheem; aunts, Janet, Tanya; uncles, Robert, Leonard; best friend, Shatay Ferguson and host of other relatives and friends.
