Sheila Smith Lowery

Sheila D. Smith-Lowery was born in Nashville, Tennessee on November 19, 1956 to the union of the late Pastor Emeritus Rev. Henry K. Smith, Jr. and Irene B. Dunkley.
Sheila was the eldest of six children born to this union. She was preceded in death by both parents, sister, Christine L. Smith, and brother Gerald L. Smith.
She received her call to God’s glory and entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 3, 2023.
Sheila received her formal education in the Nashville Davidson County Public School system, graduating from North High School, and continuing her education at Nashville State Tech and Strayer University.
Sheila was the embodiment of her parents with an incredibly strong work ethic, dedication, and commitment. Her employment spans five decades, culminating at State Farm Insurance Company. She enjoyed spending time with family, grandkids, and friends, while working faithfully in ministry, serving the needs of others.
She leaves to cherish her memories three sons and one daughter; Antoine D. Smith, Sr. (Angela), Brian I. Smith, Sr. (Tish), Kenneth P. Lowery Jr., LaKeia N. Lowery, grandchildren; Jada Pitts, Kaila Smith, Kaleb Smith, Antoine Smith Jr., Kenisha Smith, Nathan Smith, Brian Smith Jr., Kaidyn Smith, siblings; Rev. Henry K. Smith, III (Trevonda), Eric D. Smith, Carole D. Tyus (Rev. Dr. James E.), and a host of other close relatives, and friends.
