Sherry Pittman

Sherry Gay Holland Pittman, was born in Springfield, Tennessee at Jesse Holman Jones Hospital. She was born to the late Otis Henry Holland Jr and Mary Frances Holland. She departed this earthly life on Tuesday July 8th 2025.

Sherry Pittman was baptized in the name of Jesus and received the gift of the Holy Ghost under the pastorate of Elder William Fykes, Jerusalem Temple Church, Springfield, Tennessee.

Sherry was educated in Davidson County Schools in Nashville, Tennessee, she attended Pearl High School Sophomore and Junior year, then graduated from Hillwood High School in 1972. She attended Meharry Medical Dental School for two years. Later she was employed by the Tennessee Department Of Safety where she retired.

She was united in Holy Matrimony to Kenneth Marlin Pittman on June 30, 1984. They enjoyed forty one years of marriage. To this union was born two children.

She was preceded in death by her father, Otis Henry Holland Jr, Mother, Mary Frances Holland, Sister, Sharon Latrice Holland, Sister-In-Laws, Linda Gale Pittman Benish, Sharon Jones, Brother-In-Law, Mark Driver.

She leaves to cherish her memories, Husband, Kenneth Marlin Pittman, Children, Kenneth Marlin Jr. (Stephanie) Pittman, Kevin Jerard Pittman; Grandchildren, Kenneth Marlin Pittman III, Olivia Corinne Pittman, Miles Vaughn Pittman. Sisters, Wanda Fay (Napoleon) Ward, Sandra Driver, Terrilyn Annette (Henry) Harris. Brother, Vincent Terrence Holland. Devoted Cousin, Gayle Bell, Special Friend, Paula Crump Harris. A host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, other family and friends.
