Shirley Jean Knox

Shirley Jean Knox was born in Memphis, Tennessee on March 6, 1958 to Minnie Mae Knox. She departed this life on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at her residence in Nashville, Tennessee.

Shirley accepted Christ at an early age and united with Greater Covenant Outreach Church in Nashville, Tennessee. She received her education in Davidson County Public Schools, Graduating from Stratford High School Class of 1975. She also studied at Nashville State Tech and Draughns Jr. College.
Shirley was employed for many years as an accountant and she retired as management. She enjoyed listening to gospel songs, playing games on her phone, and spending time with her grandbabies.
Shirley was preceded in death by her mother Minnie Mae Knox, her other family members Gracie Lewis, Yvonne Tucker, Gail Hallems, Mary Thompson, Stacy Corbin, Lil Bit, William T. Ensley, and Debra Davis.
She leaves to cherish her memories sons Carl Knox, Josh Knox; grandchildren Karlecie Knox, Carl Knox III, Sa’Niyah, Xayvion, Amya; Great Grandchildren, KaiLani (Jean), Xavier, Kason; Life Long Friend Carl Endsley “Pops”, mother-in-law Maezella Ensley; siblings Viola Simpson, Gracie Berry, Clifton Davis, Orrilla Humphrey, Dorothy Blanchard; devoted cousins Eric Knox, Diane Blanchard, Pauton Blanchard, and Dorothy Blanchard; devoted friends/ daughters Tasha Lewis, Quita Petway, Candice Churchwell; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Viewing Sunday, October 31, 2021, 2-4, visitation Monday, November 1, 2021, 12-1 with funeral to follow at funeral home. Burial in Hills of Calvary Cemetery.
