Terry Carnell Jones

Terry C. Jones age 59 passed away peacefully on September 6, 2024. He was a loving person, devoted father, cherished grandfather, son and brother.

Born in Lewisburg, Tennessee to Phillip Hawkins and Betty Alamanjo Jones and raised n Nashville, Tennessee. Terry lived a life filled with love laughter and kindness. He was known for his warm smile, gentle demeanor, unwavering generosity. His favorite sayings “When do you get paid”. And “ There goes my favorite cousin in the whole wide world”. Terry will be missed.

Terry worked as a housekeeper for many years, where he was respected for his dedication and hard work. He approached every task with diligence and integrity, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of working with him.

In his free time, Terry enjoyed watching sports, relaxing along with finding joy in the simple moments with his family and friends.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Phillip Hawkins and Betty Alamanjo Jones, sons, Terry Smith, brothers, Dexter Jones and Josephus Jones, aunts, Linda Johnson, Beverly Brown and Mary Jo Goodner and uncle, James Jones.

Those left to cherish his memories are his beloved daughter, Chelsea Jones, grandchildren, Maliyah, Ava, Hailey, Kayle, Calvion and Aaliyah, brother, James (Robert) Jones, sisters, Tameka Jones, LaShaunda Lee and Tressa Rucker, uncle, Leonard Jones, a host of other family and friends. He touched the lives of many and will be remembered fondly for his kindness, compassion and gentle spirit.
