Theodore Blackburn

Theodore Richard “Ricky” Blackburn was born August 21,1954, in Covington, Kentucky to the parents Thomas Blackburn and Edith Hathman Blackburn. He was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at St. Thomas Hospital West in Nashville, Tennessee.

Ricky accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized under the late Rev. R.J. Brown at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Newport.

He attended schools in Covington Ky. And later served his country in the United States Armed Forces branch of the Army where he retired after 30 years of service receiving an honorable discharge.

Ricky loved his children and family. In his spare time, he enjoyed cooking and cleaning,  Cadillac cars as well as fixing things..

Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, William Robinson, James Thompson, Rev. Thomas L. Blackburn, Sr., William Blackburn, and Cleve Petty.

Those left to cherish his memories and his children, Masmukiyya, Ogburn, Ky, Myara Johnson, Ky, Sherry Smith, Cincinnati, OH., Quincy and Quinn Rainey, Cincinnati, OH., Ryan Walton, Covington, KY., Antwan Robinson, Erlanger, Ky., JJ Arnold, Justin Wright, Nashville, TN dedicated granddaughter, Qwinota Johnson, Cincinnati, OH, siblings, Pamela Petty, Cincinnati, OH., Lois Jackson Brown, Covington, Ky., , four brothers, Danny Blackburn, Joseph Petty, Steve Jackson and Dennis Blackburn all of Covington, Ky. Devoted fiancé, Bernestine Wright, Nashville, Tn. a host of other nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
