Mr. Thomas Curtis Cato was born October 23, 1937, in Nashville, Tennessee to the union of Robert and Juanita Cato. He departed this fruitful life on Monday, May 19, 2025, at his residence in Nashville, Tennessee.
Thomas accepted Christ in his life at an early age and was currently united with Fairfield Missionary Baptist Church.
Thomas was educated in the Nashville Davidson County Schools and attended Pearl High School.
Thomas married the love of his life Gwendolyn Cato in 2005. He was employed by State Stove Mfg. Company, Yellow Freight and Goggins (Big G) Trucking Company.
In his spare time, he enjoyed listening to music, grilling, fishing and playing cards.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Juanita Cato.
Those left to cherish his memories are his loving and devoted wife, Gwendolyn Cato, son, Kevin (Dannitta) Cato, daughter, Eternity Jones (Leonard Wilson), two stepsons, Michael Webster, Ronald Etter, Jr. (Latisha), six grandchildren, Kirsten Cato, Kennedy Cato, ZeQuan Jones, Justice Churchwell, Maxyivan Jones, Nyiliyah Jones, sister, Minnie Cato, niece, Kimberly Nevels, great niece, Nylan Johnson, Raylin Smith, Bhree Smith and extended family Bobby (Niva) Smith and the Cato Family in Boston and California and a host of friends and family, Linda Sue Webster and Jaqueze Rucker.
