Thomas Clendening, II

Thomas Clendening II was born on February 11, 1955 in Union City, Tennessee to Thomas Clendening Sr. and Armentha Floyd. He departed this life on Monday, February 13, 2023 at his residence in Nashville, Tennessee.

Thomas was raised in Nashville, Tennessee by his parents Thomas Sr. and Lula Mae Clendening. He was educated in the Metro Nashville Davidson Schools, attending East Jr. High and graduating from East High School.

Thomas affectionally called “Big Clendening” was a great basketball player, while in Jr. High, he played on the Basketball team, and they went undefeated. He enjoyed sports, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him!

After completing High School, Thomas enlisted in the United States Marines. While serving in the Marines, he mastered many skills and even took some college courses.

Thomas was preceded in death by his loving parents, Thomas Sr. and Lula Mae Clendening, Armentha Floyd, and a host of siblings.

He leaves to cherish his memories his daughter, Thomasa L. Clendening, son, Thomas Clendening III., grandsons, Taylor, Tyree, Tanner, Kingston, and a host of siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
