Vernona Powell

Vernona Larcenia Powell Hermitage, TN Age 89, formerly of Queens, NY, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 19, 2014.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Alexander and Bessie Stevens; husband, Willis Powell, Jr.; sisters, Susie Bantum, Eleanor Robinson and Louisa Allen; brothers, Alexander, Clarence, Richard, Lynwood and Arthur Stevens. Survived by daughters, Diane Sickmen and Lora Hall; grandsons, Mark Sickmen, David Sickmen (Stephanie); granddaughters, Robynn (Henry) Hollis, Sharon (David) Angotti, and Jamie Hall; 9 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, (Pereppa Stevens); and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 1003 Hickory Hill Lane, Hermitage, TN on Wednesday, April 23rd, 4-8 p.m., and 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 24th.
