Viola Corrine Fowler

Ms. Viola Corrine Fowler was born on September 30, 1934, in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Henry Armstrong and Vola Gray Armstrong. She departed this earthly life on Monday, December 18, 2023.

Viola accepted Christ at an early age. She united with Olivet Missionary Baptist Church, under the pastorate of Rev. Robert E. Holt. She was a faithful member of the number 2 choir, the King’s Daughter’s Auxiliary, The Matronetts, and the Beautifying Ministry. She was an active member until her health began to decline.

Viola was educated in the Nashville Public School System, and a graduate of Pearl High School. She worked and retired from Middle TN Mental Health Institute of 34 years. After retiring, she became a part of the Granny Program at the YMCA, as well as a care partner at Vanderbilt.

Viola leaves to cherish a loving brother, Ralph (Mary) Armstrong; devoted granddaughter, Verdell Booker, devoted grandson, Corey Booker, devoted nephew, Ralph (Odella) Armstrong Jr., Tyrone (Katia) Armstrong, Tony (Juanita) Armstrong, Henry (Dorris) Armstrong, Darrell and Gregory Armstrong, and Veda (Charles) Gooch, great grandchildren, Taylor Booker, Kinsley Booker, Isreya Osborne, very devoted niece, Shirley (Jay) Fowler-Presley, very devoted friend, Vicki (Donald) Jones, and a host of other family, and friends.
