Willee B. Garrison “Memaw” peacefully departed this life on July 12, 2026. Born in Cookeville, Tennessee, to the late Jessie and Addie Bean, she received her education in Jackson County at Dotson Branch school and was a faithful member of Lockland Street Baptist Church. Willie was a woman of faith and great convictions who touched many lives through her kindness and warm spirit.
Willee was a gifted songwriter and a dedicated Hospitality Services Associate whose life reflected her deep faith and compassion for others. Her career was an extension of her spiritual walk, as she expressed her love for people through selfless service and kindness. She was a devoted wife, sister, mother, and grandmother who generously poured her love, wisdom, and support into the lives of her family, especially those who needed her most. Strong yet warm, she could be firm while bringing laughter and joy to every moment. Willee found happiness in life's simple pleasures like watching her favorite soap operas, taking peaceful walks, and, above all, spending cherished time with her family. She will be remembered for her loving heart, unwavering faith, gentle strength, and the lasting impact she made on everyone fortunate enough to know and love her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Charlie Garrison; three siblings Lawrence, Linda and Glenda; beloved children, Donita, Sandra, Reda, Kathy, and Kenny. She leaves to cherish her memory her siblings, Florence Lee and Henry Garrison; her loving grandchildren, Dusty Garrison, Stephanie (Eric) Alexander, Stacey (Mike) Johnson, and Brittany (Chris) Polk; a host of great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and dear friends. Her love and legacy will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
