William Lamar McGhee

Mr. William Lamar McGhee was born July 13, 1957 to Blaine and Annie Mae McGhee of Nashville, Tennessee.  William transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life on Monday, May 27, 2024 at his residence in Nashville.

William was a graduate of Pearl High School, Class of 1975.  He then enlisted in the United States Armed Forces branch of the Nashville where he received an honorable discharge.

William was known for his generous spirit, kind heart and his friendly encounters with his family and friends.

William was very inquisitive and knowledgeable about a wide range of topics and events.  He particularly enjoyed discussing the goodness of the Lord.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by parents, Blaine and Annie Mae McGhee; sisters, Carrie Smith, Robin Maye,

and Patricia McGhee, and brother, Blaine A. McGhee.  

Those left to cherish his memories are sister, W. Mae Smith; aunts, Edna (Joe) Lunsford, Margaret Timmons, Mary Mims and Rosie Wilson; nieces, Tameka Maye, Tawanna Smith, and Bria McGhee; nephew, Wayne McGhee; friends, Jeffrey and Annette Ping, residents and staff of Parthenon Towers, other relatives and friends.
