Dr. Yvette M. Tisdale

Yvette Marie Tisdale was born in Nashville TN, she was a graduate of Pearl High School and continued her education by receiving a Bachelor of Science in Business, from the University of Tennessee, a Master of Divinity from Howard University, a Master of Theology from Northwestern University (Garrett Evangelical Theology Seminary) and a Doctor of Ministry form Shaw University.

Yvette held various leadership positions during her years in ministry as Senior and Assistant Pastor including but not limited to the Historic People Community Church in Detroit, MI, ST Luke AME Church, Nashville, TN; McGavock Chapel AME Church, Charlotte, TN.

Yvette was a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc for over 40 years. Yvette was known for her love for Christmas decorations, which included over 50 Christmas trees in and outside the home. She loved to shop and travel this was a passion. She had a unique fashion sense, and love to wear bright bold colors.

Preceeded in Death by her mother Ms. Mattie Gwendolyn Dixon, Stepfather Miller (Mickey) Dixon and is survived by her brothers Allen Dixon and Gerald (Gary) Dixon both living in Texas. Devoted Cousins Yolanda Tisdale-Albritten and Gary Burke.
